Endurex 500 Series is a 1″ insulated architectural panel built around a foam core, designed to extend building life and cut energy costs through insulation, not just weather protection. Eight variants (500, 505, 510, 515, 520, 525, 530, 535) differ by stabilizer type, foam core, and aluminum finish.

What’s the difference between the Endurex 500 sub-variants?

500 and 505 use solid plastic stabilizers, the most moisture and impact resistant option, with an extra layer of aluminum behind each stabilizer. 510 and 515 use corrugated plastic stabilizers around a 2lb EPS foam core, more moisture resistant than 520/530 but less impact resistant than 500. 520 and 525 use traditional tempered hardboard stabilizers. 530 and 535 use cement board stabilizers (or optionally 1/2″ or 5/8″ gypsum) for maximum fire resistance, specified for schools and hospitals, often with Polyisocyanurate (Iso) foam for a higher R-value.

Which variant is right for energy savings vs. fire resistance?

If insulation and impact resistance are the priority, 500 or 505 (with Kynar or Anodized finish) are the strongest combination. If the project needs maximum fire resistance, such as a school or hospital, 530 or 535 with cement board or gypsum stabilizers is the purpose-built option.

Variant Stabilizer / core Finish Fire rating
500 Solid plastic stabilizers Polyester paint Class A
505 Solid plastic stabilizers Kynar / Anodized Class A
510 Corrugated plastic, 2lb EPS foam Polyester paint Class A
515 Corrugated plastic, 2lb EPS foam Kynar / Anodized Not tested
520 Tempered hardboard, 2lb EPS foam Polyester paint Class A
525 Tempered hardboard, 2lb EPS foam Kynar / Anodized Class A
530 Cement board (or gypsum) + Iso foam option Polyester paint Class A
535 Cement board (or gypsum) + Iso foam option Kynar / Anodized Class A

All variants carry a 5-year limited warranty; standard sizes are 4×8 and 4×10 (5×10 available in white smooth only on 500/505/510).

Frequently Asked Questions

How thick is the Endurex 500 Series panel?

1 inch, built around an insulating foam core protected by stabilizers on either side.

Which Endurex 500 variant is best for schools or hospitals?

530 or 535, which use cement board or gypsum stabilizers for maximum fire resistance and often pair with Polyisocyanurate (Iso) foam for a higher R-value.

Does the 500 Series actually save on energy costs?

Yes, the insulating foam core is the point of the 500 Series over the thinner 300 Series: it’s built for energy savings in addition to extending building life.

What’s the warranty on Endurex 500 Series panels?

A 5-year limited warranty applies across all variants.
